Section One: Beginnings

1. Liberty’s Unquenchable Fire

1. Liberty’s Unquenchable Fire

1. Liberty’s Unquenchable Fire

Tales of ancestors from Native American and Irish roots. War stories dating back to the Civil War of maternal and paternal family members, and that influence on my life.

2. Women of Valor

1. Liberty’s Unquenchable Fire

1. Liberty’s Unquenchable Fire

My maternal great grandmother was a Cherokee woman who passed on her extensive knowledge of nature to my grandmother, who was half Irish. My grandmother saved my life and my mother’s life during my difficult entrance into this world, while the exhausted doctor slept.

3. A Man Who Stood for Truth

1. Liberty’s Unquenchable Fire

3. A Man Who Stood for Truth

My maternal Grandfather’s legacy from an abused childhood to becoming a beloved Christian minister. Dealing with polio as a child, raising ten children in the Depression, supporting black ministers during the racial struggles of the 1960’s, and finally ending with an all-night prayer vigil before his death, he was a hero for anyone to admire.

Section Two: His Providence

4. Shanghaied into the Army

6. Miracles on the San Juan River

4. Shanghaied into the Army

This story recounts my actually comical entrance into a combat Army National Guard MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) unit as a medical student and my subsequent active-duty Army tour at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu.

5. Joy in the Chaos

6. Miracles on the San Juan River

4. Shanghaied into the Army

My means of support for about 15 years after my tour of duty in the Army were short term contracts generally of three months or less in various emergency rooms across the United States. Supernatural encounters and help from beyond occurred on several occasions.

6. Miracles on the San Juan River

6. Miracles on the San Juan River

6. Miracles on the San Juan River

I was asked to assist in western Nicaragua when Hurricane Mitch dumped 14 inches of rain in 24 hours. This subsequently caused a terrible mud slide which smothered approximately 4,000 people to death in less than a half hour.

SECTION THREE: HIS PROTECTION

7. Revival of a Nation

9. Surrounded by the Russian Navy

7. Revival of a Nation

This tells of my very first medical mission trip to the East African nation of Uganda immediately after the cruel dictator Idi Amin had been driven out (after killing 400,000 of his own people). A chronicle of three stunning physical miracles I witnessed and the dangers our team of 12 nurses and I faced.

8. Battle with a Witch

9. Surrounded by the Russian Navy

7. Revival of a Nation

I traveled to the Dominican Republic in the early 1990’s to work with Mercy Ships. I encountered a powerful witch and was guided through prayer in conducting her exorcism.

9. Surrounded by the Russian Navy

9. Surrounded by the Russian Navy

9. Surrounded by the Russian Navy

The Baltic state of Estonia was attempting to sever ties with Russia when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989.  The Mercy Ship Anastasis was anchored in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia, when we woke up one morning surrounded by the Russian Navy.

10. Encounter with an Ancient Evil

11. New York City Pimp Meets the Angels

9. Surrounded by the Russian Navy

Up until the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall, Albania had murdered and persecuted almost every Christian in the country. In 1992, our team traveled to the southern city of Korce for a mission, where two surprising encounters with evil occurred.

11. New York City Pimp Meets the Angels

11. New York City Pimp Meets the Angels

11. New York City Pimp Meets the Angels

In 1992, New York City was just as violent as now, if not more so. We joined a conglomerate of street ministries and encountered a violent pimp. He also got an unexpected encounter.

12. A Tale of Two Armies

11. New York City Pimp Meets the Angels

11. New York City Pimp Meets the Angels

The southern Indian jungle was populated by pagan tribes immersed in witchcraft and idol worship. This narrative relays the beginning of many churches that are now present in this area, which was accompanied by miracles of protection and healing.

13. Show Down with a Warlock

13. Show Down with a Warlock

13. Show Down with a Warlock

Trip to Cameroon to support a local respected and devout Catholic surgeon persecuted by a corrupt French backed government. Near death encounter in a stand-off with a warlock opposed to this surgeon.

14. Star over Bethlehem

13. Show Down with a Warlock

13. Show Down with a Warlock

Several unexplainable “coincidences” opened the door to Pakistan for a mission three weeks after an assassination attempt on President Musharraf. In spite of dangers, my entire trip was likely the most amazing trip I had ever undertaken.

SECTION FOUR: LEARNING FROM HIM

15. Resurrection Story

17. The Dog with a Golden Heart

15. Resurrection Story

In the mid 1990’s in the Philippines, I was introduced by my Filipino friend to an amazing man by the name of Stanley Villavicencio. Hundreds of witnesses testify that he was raised from the dead after three days of being undeniably clinically dead.

16. A Holy Child

17. The Dog with a Golden Heart

15. Resurrection Story

One of several trips to China smuggling Bibles and medications to the underground church. An angelic encounter and the physical healing of a beautiful, holy child were two of the amazing incidents on this trip.

17. The Dog with a Golden Heart

17. The Dog with a Golden Heart

17. The Dog with a Golden Heart

God loves his creation and His creatures. This recounts how a very beautiful dog saved me from assault and possibly murder.

18. The INCORRUPTIBLES

19. Ingratitude Does Not Enter Heaven

17. The Dog with a Golden Heart

There are over one hundred bodies of very holy people who have died that have not decayed that are known to be present in this world. This is the fascinating story of an Italian priest’s body that was found to be incorrupt several years after death.

19. Ingratitude Does Not Enter Heaven

19. Ingratitude Does Not Enter Heaven

19. Ingratitude Does Not Enter Heaven

We owe a great deal to our ancestors and institutions centuries old that modern society seems to have forgotten.  We often denigrate something we are not smart enough to explain, just like the “flat earthers” did centuries ago when presented with the idea that the world just may be round.
